What is the height if you chose the base mount without the chain? And it says the base is not included how much is the base and what is the item number?

A. The Sea Gull Lighting 60029 without the chain is 10", and about 11" including the ceiling mount. The base referred to in the description is actually the light bulb. This fixture takes a standard 100w A base incandescent light bulb, which is not included.
