Excellent Post Light
At the beginning of the project, my electrician advised me to purchase a pair of post lights from a local electric store. However, the store could not promise a reasonable delivery timeframe and its price was really "up there." I then hastily purchased a Hampton Bay pair for less than 1/2 the price of one of these Sea Gulls. However, I found their construction to be really cheap. When I called my electrician to review my findings, he said "in this business you get what you pay for," and advised me to wait for the good stuff from the local store. However, I was a little impatient, and bought these online after searching and reviewing various brands and weighing my options.
I found that Seagull Lighting has great reviews on every web site that sells or reviews these products. The quality of these copper lights is excellent, and a bit more than I expected. Their list price, even though higher than off-the-shelf home depot stuff, is significantly less than one might pay for other lighting brands of comparable quality in a local store.
Lighting direct's price was very competitive. However, negative reviews about lightingdirect.com delivery record threw me off. Yet, I took my chances and was pleasantly surprised to have a great pair of lights within five business days. Thank you lightingdirect.com!
